Sheet and Plate Shears
from
Pacific
|
|
|
|
| Pacific has been a leader in hydraulically-powered fabrication
machine tools for more than fifty years and the G-Series continues
to represent the "cutting edge" in production sheet
and plate shearing. The G-Series is known for its ruggedness,
reliability and accuracy. It's design has evolved through the
years to enhance productivity and quality of cut whatever the
thickness capacity or material type
from the thin sheet
to plate steel, from standard steels and aluminum to exotic
alloys. |
| |
| Choose from 3/8" to 1-3/4" capacity, standard models,
6'-36' standard bed lengths |
| |
|
|
| Standard Features: |
| |
| Rugged Interlocked Construction: Ram, bed and extra-deep
side housings are produced from heavy steel plate and interlocked/welded
to maximize rigidity, resist deflection. Interlocked cylinder
mountings and the rigid vee design result in true centerline
loading and minimized frame deflection. Precise ram guiding
is ensured via proven components like heavy-duty, non -binding
guides and "through the cut" pullbacks that provide
a constant load on slideways and eliminates guide clearances.
18" deep throat is standard.
State-Of-The-Art Hydraulic System: Force is transferred
from one cylinder to the other as the cut progresses, delivering
a smooth "full power" stroke at constant, shock-free
speeds. Modular stacked valve system minimizes piping and special
manifolding. Our two-speed shearing feature delivers increased
strokes per minute when processing material at 2/3rds or less
of the rated thickness capacity.
Superior Operational Controllability: Complete control
of all shearing variables is attainable, including knife clearance,
rake angle, back gauge positioning, stroke length and speed
and hold downs. (DNC control is available optionally).

|
|
| Optional Features: |
| |
| Material Handling Devices (optional features include
air operated ball transfers and/or hydraulic front roll systems
for aiding the handling/feeding of heavy plate, slitting gages
for the progressive alignment of materials longer than the length
of the shear, and dual footswitches for easier two man operation)
DNC Controls (memory capacity of 24,480 sequences, accurate
to +/-.005"; 15 digit alpha/numeric LED display)
|
|
|
| Other optional features include: |
| |
| High Carbon/High Alloy (Grade 1) Shear Knives for Special
Applications
Power Knife Clearance Adjustment
Hold down Tonnage Control for Mark-Free Applications
Automated Centralized or Manual One-Shot Lubrication
Systems.
